About a week ago, I was struggling with Gavin's constant waking in the middle of the night. One night it was 7 times, then 4 times...I believe my body finally broke down and I just couldn't handle it anymore. It's amazing how your body reacts to lack of sleep. Soooo, I called my pediatrician because either A) I'm a first time parent or B) I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything that could possibly be troubling my child. I think I'll take answer C) All of the above. =o)
The nurse and I talked for a few minutes. We came to the conclusion, that since our Florida vacation back in July, Gavin has not been sleeping well. I think her exact words were, "I hate to tell you this, but he's playin' ya!" I was hoping that wasn't the case, but then again, I didn't want there to be anything wrong with him either. I was thinking I knew how to fix the situation but thought I'd ask for her recommendation. . . It was exactly what I thought. . .let him cry it out and he will learn to soothe himself back to sleep.
So far it's been working very well. Each night he's waking less frequent and crying time is well under 30 seconds. So this household is resting much easier at night. Thank goodness!!
I realize that post's without a photo is no fun, so here's two of my all-time FAV'S!

Nighty, night!
