Gavin's party was a hit! He LOVED the balloons and tissue paper, but was not interested in his cake. See pics below! He's not one to pick up slimmy, messing things when he's eating, so I figured he wouldn't want anything to do with it. I think the site of having 20 adults staring at him singing 'happy birthday' was a little scary to him. =o}

And this one was the 'monkey' cake. The baker and I had a little bit of miscommunication, andbless her heart, she made another cake for us!! It turned out so cute!! Thanks, Sue!

Here my mom and I were trying to get Gavin to sit in his highchair
and as you can tell, everyone singing was a little frightening and he did NOT wantin his highchair

NOPE, not so much. I stuck his hand in his cake and he was flinging it off! I believe he's looking at Daddy ;o) with the look of "Help Me!"
Gavin's thought...."Ah, at last, I'm out of that stinkin' highchair...give me balloons!!"

Gavin got soooooooooooooo many gifts! And he was so good at sitting with Josh and I and opening them too. He showed no preference and LOVED all his presents. 
Kami and Dan got him the cutest Sesame Street fire engine ride/push toy. Thanks you two! He loves it! (oh, and Kami, I'll be sure and re-gift this when you and Dan have a little one!
Josh and I got him a Thomas the Train sit and push toy. He's been eyeing it for 2 weeks in the garage. He wanted it sooo bad, but Daddy said no, he has to wait for his birthday.
Katie and Isaac got Gavin the cutest monkey pillow and fleece blanket. You should see him snuggle with it...he buries his face in it! Thanks you two!
And probably his ultimate FAVORITE gift his Nana and Papa Fay got him a wagon. I think he's been on a dozen rides already in the last 24 hours! Thanks Nana & Papa!
At the end of a LONG day, here's Gavin in his new long-johns that my mom got him, along with TONS and TONS of clothes. Thanks Mom and Dad! XOXOXO
Aren't these adorable!!! Gavin was SO tired and slept the whole night for 12 hours. In the morning, he was excited to have new toys to play with. It was like Christmas morning!

How adorable is our Grasndson Gavin James!!! He loved every single gift he received-every one of them !!
He is a very lucky child whose parents want to give him the very best childhood and direction. And we are very lucky grand parents to be a part of all of that !!

What a great first bday bash for the little monkey! I have loved being able to watch this little guy grow in his first year of life and look forward to sharing in more exciting moments with our boys. Lots of love from The Boyce's :)
